‘Art on the Move’ features Sun Yu-li's latest series of sculptures using hand-forged metal sheets. This sculpture series has been previously exhibited at the Art House, Esplanade and Singapore Arts Museum.

Sculpture has always been perceived as big and heavy artwork fixed in a location once installed. ‘Arts on the Move’ inspires to change the concept and impression of sculpture arts.

‘Art on the Move’ inspires to change the concept and impression of sculpture art. Through this sculpture tour, we hope to bring art to the people. This is an initiative to make art available to people from all walks of life. We want to promote the arts and make it part of our daily life.

‘Arts on the Move’ features Mr. Sun Yu-li's latest series of sculptures using lightweight stainless steel with lighting from inside as a unique feature. This sculpture series has been previously exhibited at the Art House, Esplanade and Singapore Arts Museum.

Starting from 11th Sept 2006 till Feb 2007, you will be able to see these sculptures at major shopping malls, hotels and tourist attractions. This is the first time an homegrown artist will be bringing his sculptures on a tour around Singapore. The pieces will be displayed for 2 weeks at each location.

This is the first step of a longer term plan to bring Mr. Sun Yu-li's sculptures on a tour around Asia and the world's major cities.
